Makhana Namkeen is a great snack to have while Fasting/Upvas, which makes it one of the healthiest food available. Besides Makhana or Fox nuts are great snack food for diabetics and heart patients as they contain good fat and have a low quantity of saturated fats. These properties make makhanas a good weight-loss food.
Ingredients:
(Serves 2)
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- Butter
- Curry Leaves(chopped)
- Peanuts
- 150-200 gms Fox Nuts(Makhana)
- Rock Salt
- Black Pepper Powder
- Cumin Seed powder
Method:
1. Turn on the flame and add ghee, butter, chopped curry leaves, peanuts to the wok
2. Turn the flame to medium and saute it till the peanuts fry properly
3. Now, add fox nuts(Makhana) to the mix and cook them on a low flame for 10-12 minutes
4. After around 10 minutes add rock salt, black pepper powder, cumin seed powder to the wok, and mix it
5. Once cooked properly, turn off the flame and serve it
